Professional wedding make up artist Nikki Kavanagh, studied in Make Up Forever, the Make Up Rooms Academy Dublin as well as one to one master classes in MAC, all resulting in Nikki receiving notable distinctions on her graduation. Nikki offers a very competitive wedding package for all brides to be and the ladies she will have accompanying her up the aisle! The standard bridal make up package costs €275
What does this include:
This includes Make up for up to four ladies on the day of the wedding. Complimentary individual lashes or strip lashes if required are included at no extra cost.
Where does the Make Up application take place?
On the morning of your wedding, I will come to your home and set up in a natural light area to do your make up and also do touch ups before I leave.
How long will the make up take on the morning?
Time wise on the morning, the make up will take approx 30 mins per person and 45mins for the bride for the bride with some touch ups at the end taking a few minutes also. eg) four ladies = 2hr 30 mins which includes touch ups.
When will I be ready to go?
I aim to be finished one hour before you are due to leave in order to facilitate enough time for you to get your dress on and relax, possibly with a glass of champagne! This also allows you time to get some family photos.
What if I have more people than four for Make Up?
The charge for additional ladies for make up on the day costs €30 per person and I can do up to approx eight ladies on the morning.
Do I need a trial and how much does this cost?
I highly recommend you have a trial so we can go through the various looks you can have that will compliment your style, skin type and overall vision of ‘your look’ for the day. A makeup trial for brides costs €50 in my home in Ratoath (and €25 per person for additional ladies), this must be paid in cash on the day & I will go through all aspects of your wedding day make up to ensure you are 100% happy. I will then email you test shots which you can show your family and friends for a second opinion and all products used on the day will be listed out in the email. Its often best to bring your own camera with you too.
What products are used?
Honestly this depends on many different aspects like age, skin type, overall look envisaged. I mostly use MAC products but I have a selection of Smashbox (primer), Urban Decay (eyeshadows), High Beam (benefit) and many others. if you visit my facebook page you can see for yourself just what I am using!
Do I need do anything for the trial?
If you can wear something white on top please, it can give us a good overall idea of how you will look on the day.
If you are wearing your hair up/down on the wedding day then try have it up/down on the day of the trial, nothing fancy so dont worry! It just gives us a better overall look! If you dont know then wear it loosely so we can try it both up and down and we might get an idea for your hair too! I have a veil here which we can try on too – it then begins to get very exciting!
* If you are tanning on the wedding day then try to have some tan on at the trial.
